📢 Exciting News from EPISKIN and SkinEthic HCE model ! 📢

We are thrilled to announce a significant advancement in our commitment to ethical and innovative safety testing!

Today, a new OECD (OCDE) Guideline validation for the SkinEthic™ Human Corneal Epithelium (HCE) model specifically for surfactants has been accepted: Test Guideline No. 467 - Defined Approaches for Serious Eye Damage and Eye Irritations.

PART IV – Defined Approach (DA), based on in vitro data, for surfactants (DASF) is dedicated to this new test validation.

This marks another pivotal step forward in our journey towards comprehensive in vitro safety assessments.

The SkinEthic™ HCE TTT on Liquids (EITL Part I) and on Solids (EITS Part III) are already available for review. For more in-depth information, we invite you to explore our Eye Irritation page on the Episkin website.

At EPISKIN, we are continuously pushing the boundaries of scientific innovation to ensure the safety and efficacy of our products, while upholding the highest ethical standards. This latest validation further solidifies our leadership in alternative methods development and strengthens our ability to provide cutting-edge safety assessments for the beauty industry.

A special thanks to Nathalie Alepee for her continuous work on OECD validation.

TBuilding on the groundbreaking success of our SkinEthic™ HCE Eye Irritation Test method (EIT) (TG 492), this latest validation represents another significant milestone, particularly within the framework of defined approach methodologies.

As a reminder, this pioneering method achieved a historic first: it was the first standalone method validated by the OECD (TG 492B) on June 30, 2022.
